YOUR Smart Phone May Be Smarter Than YOU Think
(all images shot on a iPhone 6)
Some of the best iconic photographs ever shot were shot using technology 1/10 of what the average smart phone has now. And those numbers are probably liberal. You know the ones like Marilyn Monroe, the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima, Muhammad Ali after he knocked out Sonny Liston. I think you get the point. What made those shots iconic where the precision of timing by the photographer, the framing and composition of the shot and the action or the persons that were captured in the image.
In the next coming weeks I will be doing a series of portrait shoots with a smart phone coupled with landscape and abstract images as well. I want to show the awesome power of these small devices as well as what you can do with them when you properly frame and compose the right subject. I've taken nature and landscape shots which put beside some of the shots took with my Canon 7D, average person probably couldn't distinguish which one was shoot with which camera. With third-party apps a skilled photographer can shoot, edit and send to print, images he/her have taken on their Smart Phone. And I will be going through the whole process. Everything done in my iPhone. I will be sharing the actual shoots & and the prints via my blog. I encourage other photographers to leave pictures they've shot on their iPhone or any other smart phone in the comment section of my blog ~ The Mechanical Eye
